The McLean Racing Difference

Starting back in 2007, John Mclean Jnr and John Snr took up drag racing at Santa Pod Raceway as a weekend past time. In 2011, John Jnr won the Castrol Street Challenge Championship on his 1991 GSXR1100 as the quickest road legal motorcycle to race down the 1/4 mile in that year. Between 2007 and 2012, John Jnr also crewed for teams in the Hottrax Endurance, BSB National Superstock600 and BSB National Supersport Championships.

In 2012, McLean Racing was born as a race team to compete in the ACU dragbike championships. With John Jnr racing in 8.50 bike and John Snr and Adrian Cattell racing in 9.50 bike. The team has been competing ever since in various different dragbike classes. John Jnr has also been tuning for various other riders during this time.

John Jnr opened McLean Racing as a business in 2021 to bring outstanding repair services to the Corby and Northants area.
